Assistant Accountant - Auckland

In this role you will be reporting to the Finance Manager and assisting with the following tasks:

  • Financial accounts
  • Monthly management reports
  • Cashflow management
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Tax Management - IRD/PAYE, GST and FBT returns
  • Management of fixed assets
  • Assisting in variance reporting and analysis
  • Accounts receivable
  • Ad-hoc projects

If you find the above tasks exciting then with the skillset below you’ll be the right person we are looking for

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a medium to large size business
  • A self-starter, who is highly motivated and organized
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Great customer service skills
  • Intermediate excel skills, with strong accuracy, numeracy and data processing abilities
  • Aptitude for learning new software and using it to your advantage
  • Team player with a sense of humour
  • Aspiring to become a qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CPA)
  • Hold a valid visa
